How To Fix Shattered Blush

Is there anything more frustrating than dropping your pricey new bronzer or face powder on the rock-hard bathroom floor, only to watch it smash into smithereens before your eyes? Nope.

But wait! Before you dash off to your local Boots to splurge your hard-earned pennies on new makeup, read this.

Luckily, there's some nifty ways you can salvage smashed makeup and it'll take you just a few minutes.

FEMAIL rounded up the genius ways you can fix your broken eyeshadows, lipsticks and powders. Here are their genius hacks...

Fix broken powders and eyeshadows with alcohol

As well as being the perfect antidote to a stressful day in the office, alcohol can fix broken makeup, too.

If you've smashed your powder, drop in a splash of rubbing alcohol and use a toothpick to mix it up a little. Then, pop a piece of tissue over the top and press a coin down onto the eyeshadow to help resume its shape. Leave the coin on the shadow for a few hours and come back to a brand spanking new eyeshadow.

Restore smashed blusher with salty water

Now you've restored your bronzer and eyeshadow to all their glory, it's time to focus on your broken blusher.

All you need to repair it is some salty water. Just drop a few droplets into the blusher and smooth it over with a knife for a good-as-new blush.

Bring a botched lipstick back to life

Favourite lippy gone awry? Beauty bloggers swear by blow-drying theirs to bring it back to life. Alternatively, you can pop it in the freezer for a few hours to restore it or mix the remnants with some Vaseline for a punchy-hued lip balm.
